About Program
STEAM Challenge at STEAM Varsity is an exciting program designed to inspire students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and collaborate effectively. This program offers a series of challenges and competitions that encourage students to apply their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) to real-world problems.
How You Learn
Introduction to STEAM Challenge and Robotics Fundamentals
- Introduction to the Challenge, rules, and competition format.
- Basics of robotics: components, sensors, actuators, and control systems.
- Programming fundamentals using the programming environment (e.g., Java, Blockly).
- Design principles for robot chassis and mechanisms.
- Prototyping and testing robot designs.
- Initial robot design iteration and optimization.
Advanced Robotics and Strategy Development
- Advanced programming techniques (e.g., autonomous routines).
- Sensor integration for navigation, detection, and feedback.
- Mechanical design and fabrication for efficient and robust robots.
- Strategy development: game analysis, task prioritization, and alliance coordination.
- Iterative robot building, programming & testing, field trips and fundraising outreaches.

Competition Preparation and Skills Enhancement
